Who Am I?
I believe therapy should be a place where you feel heard, supported, and challenged to create meaningful change. My approach is compassionate, solution-focused, and practical. I work collaboratively with clients to understand what has brought them to therapy while helping them develop the tools and skills needed to move forward. I know from both my professional experience and my own personal experience with therapy that real growth happens when we are willing to look honestly at our struggles and learn healthier ways of coping. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can process your experiences while working toward lasting change.
What is a first session like with me?
Our first session is about getting to know each other. I want to understand what brought you to therapy, what challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to gain from the process. We'll talk about your history, your strengths, and the goals that are most important to you. There is no pressure to share everything at once, we move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. By the end of our first session, we'll begin developing a plan that feels realistic, individualized, and focused on helping you make progress.
What can you expect going forward in therapy?
Therapy is a collaborative process. As we continue working together, we'll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop practical coping strategies, and build on your strengths. I believe in helping clients gain tools they can use outside of our sessions so they feel more confident managing life's challenges independently. Some sessions may focus on processing difficult emotions, while others may be more goal-oriented and solution-focused. My hope is that you leave each session feeling supported, challenged when appropriate, and one step closer to the life you want to create.
