Our Clinical Focus Areas
Anxiety Care
Managing anxiety involves a thoughtful, scientific process that uncovers the roots of your stress while providing tangible tools for emotional regulation. Utilizing proven methods—such as CBT, mindfulness, and gentle exposure—we work together to dismantle fearful thoughts, stop avoidance cycles, and foster genuine inner peace. This collaborative journey is tailored to your unique pace and life values, ensuring you develop the mental flexibility and confidence needed to navigate daily life with a renewed sense of calm and clarity.
Trauma Healing
Recovering from trauma is a delicate, solution-oriented process where your sense of safety is always the highest priority. We use grounding techniques and trauma-informed processing to help you move beyond survival mode into a place of empowerment. By working at a pace that feels secure for you, we aim to reduce distressing symptoms and restore your sense of autonomy over your life and body. This therapeutic partnership is designed to foster deep resilience, allowing you to reclaim your future and build a stable, healthy path forward.
Grief Support
Navigating loss requires a patient, specialized approach to help you integrate your experience into daily living. We create a compassionate harbor where you can process sorrow without judgment, helping you establish new routines while honoring your memories. Using tailored clinical support, I assist you in finding a sustainable way to move through your mourning process.
PTSD Relief
Specialized PTSD support focuses on stabilizing your nervous system so you can feel grounded and protected in the present moment. Through trauma processing and emotion regulation skills, we target intrusive thoughts and hypervigilance to lessen their impact on your life. This work is deeply respectful of your personal history and strengths, prioritizing a trajectory of safety. Together, we build the necessary internal resources for you to regain control over your environment and experience a greater sense of peace and daily functionality.
Addiction Support
Recovery is a customized, nonjudgmental pathway toward healthier choices and lasting life improvement. Together, we utilize evidence-based tools like motivational interviewing and trauma-informed cognitive strategies to identify triggers and cultivate better coping mechanisms. Whether you are seeking immediate harm reduction or long-term sobriety, our sessions provide a respectful space to heal. By involving community resources and focusing on personal resilience, we help you build a sustainable lifestyle that remains deeply rooted in your core identity and values.
Eating Disorder Care
Restoring your relationship with food and body image is a journey rooted in self-compassion and practical recovery goals. Our sessions use evidence-based interventions to address the psychological triggers and behavioral patterns associated with eating disorders. By focusing on nutritional balance and emotional resilience, we work toward lasting wellness at your own speed, ensuring every step honors your dignity and your desire for a healthier, freer life.
Youth Therapy
Supporting a child’s mental health involves a playful, age-appropriate approach that honors their unique developmental stage. By utilizing behavioral strategies and family-inclusive interventions, I help young ones express themselves and build confidence in a safe, welcoming setting. We collaborate closely with caregivers to navigate behavioral hurdles and school-related stress, ensuring your child feels heard and understood. Our goal is to provide children with the emotional foundation and social tools they need to flourish at home and within their peer groups.
Couples Counseling
Joint therapy provides a respectful platform for partners to bridge gaps in communication and rediscover mutual affection. By drawing on attachment-informed techniques and emotion-focused therapy, we identify the negative loops holding you back and replace them with cycles of safety and vulnerability. Whether you are navigating a major transition or healing from past hurts, we focus on concrete problem-solving and intimacy building. The work is paced to your relationship's specific needs, aiming for a more resilient and meaningful bond.

My professional path includes a BA in Psychology along with Dual Master's degrees in Clinical Counseling and Addictions. Holding licenses as an LPCC in California and LPC in Texas, I specialize in treating grief, trauma, PTSD, and eating disorders. My clinical background includes extensive work in crisis intervention handling cases of domestic violence and abuse across all demographics. Together, we will navigate your challenges to foster self-growth and resolve the deep-seated stressors that block your fulfillment. I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space for you to envision a healthier future. Within this secure environment, we will craft a strategic plan to address your symptoms and improve your quality of life.
Coming from a second-generation Korean family, high achievement was the baseline expectation for my life. Therapy opened my eyes to a way of living I didn't know was possible: one where I could still feel purpose and accomplishment without constantly feeling on edge. I bring that knowledge and skills to help you get to the place in life you were meant to be.
I use an integrative approach, drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic modalities to support meaningful, lasting change.
My years as a high school teacher shaped how I think about change: I don't hand you answers. Rather than offering quick techniques or surface-level coping tools, I work with you to understand the deeper patterns shaping how you feel. We build insight and skills together that you carry forward on your own. Therapy will push you toward what's uncomfortable, but I'll make sure you are supported every step of the way.

Life has a way of wearing us down - sometimes it's the workplace, sometimes it's the relationships closest to us, and often it's both at the same time. The stress of aging parents, complicated family dynamics, grief, and loss doesn't pause when work gets hard. And when everything hits at once, it can feel impossible to know where to start.
I'm Phoenix Lockett, a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's in Clinical Psychology and over 20 years of experience helping people navigate some of their most challenging moments - professionally and personally.
My background is a little different from most therapists. Before returning to clinical practice, I spent two decades in executive leadership - managing large teams, driving organizational change, and watching firsthand how stress, burnout, and broken relationships spill over into every area of our lives. I also know personally what it means to carry the weight of family, grief, and the complexity of being everything to everyone. That experience shapes how I show up in the therapy room.
I believe therapy begins with feeling heard, understood and accepted. I provide a warm and compassionate space where teens, adults, families and couples can feel supported while working toward meaningful change. I especially enjoy helping clients navigate anxiety, depression , relationship challenges, life transitions and trauma. With couples I use the Gottman Method to strengthen communication and connection.
My approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Solution-Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method. I bring warmth, life experience and a genuine understanding of the challenges people face. My goal is to help each client feel empowered to create healthier relationships and a more fulfilling life.
